US Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation is Hiring a Remote Receivership Oversight Terminations Specialist, CG-0301-13 (Temp Appointment NTE 2 Years)

Duties

  • Manages a portfolio of receiverships from resolution to termination with specified reporting requirements utilizing reporting management platform.

  • Identifies and reviews termination files for possible impediments to termination.

  • Prepares the termination case and forwards to the appropriate level for approval.

  • Coordinates final liquidation efforts needed to put all assets in inactive status.
  • Collaborates with the following Divisions and program areas to obtain the status of existing workload in identifying potential financial or reputational risks, opportunities, and seek to improve outcomes of the receivership estate: Accounting/Tax, Asset Management, Capital Markets, Claims, Employee Benefits, Environmental, Investigations, Legal, Risk Sharing Asset Management, Settlements, and others as required.

  • Facilitates meetings with both internal and external stakeholders to improve outcomes of the receivership estate.

  • Represents Receivership Oversight management in meetings.

  • Provides training on new policies and procedures.

The candidate selected will be offered a term appointment not-to-exceed 2 years, which may be extended to a maximum of seven (7) years based on workload requirements and organizational staffing authorizations.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here.

To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience managing failed financial institution receiverships to include (1) developing receivership business plans and receivership income/expense forecasts; (2) establishing priorities for the disposition of assets in a receivership estate (3) planning courses of action for the resolution of receiverships; and (4) providing advice on a wide range of regulatory and operating issues pertaining to the financial status and performance of individual receiverships.

The range of pay shown includes base pay plus supplemental locality adjustments. The locality rates for these duty locations range from a low of 16.82% to a high of 51.75%.   • Knowledge in one or more of the following Division of Resolutions and Receiverships program areas: Accounting/Tax, Asset Management, Claims, FDIC Structured Sales, Investigations/PLU, Legal, Loss Share, and/or Securities/Capital Markets.

  • Ability to communicate in writing through presentations and reports.

  • Ability to communicate orally.
