Position: Multimodal Operations Agent

Reports to:
Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multimodal Operations Agent who possesses exceptional proficiency in air, ocean, and domestic transportation for both import and export processes.
The ideal candidate will exhibit an unwavering dedication to providing outstanding customer service and ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods across various modes of transport. This role requires an individual with a meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for delivering superior results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Multimodal Expertise: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in coordinating air, ocean, and domestic transportation for both import and export shipments.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the end-to-end logistics operations, including scheduling, tracking, and managing shipments across different modes of transport.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service and promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests.
  • Timeliness and Efficiency: Ensure the timely delivery of shipments by closely monitoring transportation schedules, resolving any potential delays, and implementing proactive measures to expedite processes.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Manage all necessary documentation for import and export activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining accurate records.
  • Carrier Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to secure competitive rates, optimize routes, and resolve operational issues.
  • Problem-solving: Identify and resolve logistical challenges promptly, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to minimize disruptions and meet customer expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the logistics operations, implementing innovative solutions to optimize workflows.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including warehouse staff, customs brokers, and sales representatives, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of logistics activities.
  • Adherence to Quality Standards: Uphold high-quality standards in all aspects of operations, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in multimodal transportation operations, with expertise in air, ocean, and domestic logistics.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools, such as TMS (Transportation Management System) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize logistics operations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Professional certifications in logistics and transportation management (e.g., Certified International Supply Chain Professional, Certified Logistics Professional) are a plus.

Compensation:
Base Salary Range – Based on Experience

Benefits:
Following the evaluation period, Health/Dental/Vision care will be provided per the company plan, along with a great PTO package.
Medical / Dental / Vision: employee pays for any family members. Percentages paid by CLN for the employee only:
1. Medical: CLN pays 100%
2. Dental: CLN Pays for 50% - cost to employee is minimal
3. Vision: CLN pays for 0% - cost to employee is minimal
Life Insurance: coverage is 2x annual salary, min 200K – CLN pays 100%
