Under broad supervision, reconciles and adjusts various general ledger accounts and/or bank statements. May perform moderately complex analysis of performance results. Compiles, consolidates, and analyzes accounting and finance information for the production of financial statements and reports. Role typically requires between 3 and 5 years of experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are searching for an Accounts Payable specialist to join our team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The AP specialist will have a daily, ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.

SKILLS:

• Support the company in optimizing its financial transactions and systems.
• Reviewing invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment and confirming 3-way match.
• Perform invoice data entry.
• Generate purchase orders when necessary.
• Strengthen and grow relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely payments.
• Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process.
• Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting. Comply with all national and local financial regulations.
• Engage and leverage other departments in the company to accomplish joint projects or ad hoc assignments.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.S. degree in accounting or related field of study, or a high school diploma/GED certificate with 5 years of accounts payable experience.
• Advanced excel and overall computer skills.
• Prior accounts payables experience preferred.

• Strong communication and project management skills to effectively liaise with all departments within company.
• Strong work ethic with the flexibility to put in extra hours when needed.

• Detail-oriented, with the ability to identify all cost elements within requests.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines in a busy environment.
• Ability to respond quickly to changing business dynamics.
• Energetic approach with a strong attention to detail.
