BMC is a local, independent, and physician-owned medical group with over 20 primary and specialty care departments, 90 providers, and 325 clinical and support professionals. Since our founding by 10 physicians in 1949, we have grown and evolved to meet the needs of Boulder County and beyond.

We currently have clinics located in Boulder (2 locations), Louisville, Longmont, and Erie.

Job Summary:

Boulder Medical Center is looking for a full-time HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team! As the HR Assistant, you will be responsible for managing all aspects related to the onboarding of new employees, serving as the main point of contact for transferring employees, and oversee the off boarding process of exiting employees. You will also serve as a main point of contact for all HRIS data entry and employee personnel file record keeping. The ideal candidate for this position preforms general human resource duties with a positive, self-motivated and organized approach while interacting with others.

Job Duties:

  • Tracks and monitors Employee Referral program, documenting recipients and communicating with Payroll to ensure payments of referral bonuses are logged and processed accurately.
  • Performs audits of the ATS and HRIS system on all new hire information.
  • Assists the HR Manager in the maintenance and updating of BMC job descriptions.
  • Prepares all New Hire and benefit materials for the employee’s first day. Assists in New Hire Orientation and building tour and ensures applicable onboarding documents are completed. Follows up on missing or incomplete paperwork.
  • Verifies Social Security number and I-9 documentation for new employees. Maintains accurate documentation of verification in accordance with applicable federal, state and local law.
  • Prepares and maintains 30 day new hire reviews, 45, 90 & annual employee evaluations.
  • Prepares all exit packages for the employee’s last day. Communicates all relevant exit information and administers exit survey. Collect ID badges, keys and/or other company property. Communicates with applicable departments to shut down access.
  • Maintains exit interview surveys. Provides reports to HR Manager on a timely and consistent timeline.
  • Accurately processes all HR forms/transactions that affect changes in personnel information, and performs data entry and auditing of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Creates and maintains all employee personnel files accurately and completely.
  • Verifies the current credentials of all Nursing staff (MA’s, LPN’s and RN’s). Maintains a list of credentialed and non-credentialed Nursing staff (Medical Assistants, LPN’s, and RN’s) and sends the updated list to the Nursing department monthly. Maintains Paylocity tracking of licensure.
  • Notifies all applicable departments of hires and terminations to ensure building security and that public phone lists are kept current.
  • Provides RTD Eco Pass to all eligible employees. Administers the activation and deactivation of cards as appropriate.
  • Calculates and administers annual employee raises
  • Issues BMC ID badges for all employees (new hires and replacements for employees whose are lost or stolen) and communicates time clock and security information to applicable departments.
  • Maintains recognition programs, monitoring and recording award recipients.
  • Coordinates of the student clinical rotation program at BMC.
  • Supports and assists the HR Manager on a variety of projects and activities including but not limited to: annual benefits Open Enrollment, events on the Employee Engagement Committee, creating HR materials, and/or defining HR processes.
  • Supports and assists HR team with company logo wear, recognition gifts, and holiday gifts.
  • In conjunction with HR Manager, helps to maintain Intranet content to ensure HR department information is current.
  • Owns the full onboarding and off-boarding cycle for all Medical Staff-sponsored student clinical rotations and/or onsite shadow process. Educates students, providers and educational offices on BMC’s student visitor process. Collects and maintains each university’s Affiliation Agreement and background information on all student visitors. Notifies applicable departments when students are approved to be onsite.

  • Adjusts to changes in department processes or tasks quickly. Is proactive and takes prompt action to accomplish tasks by considering all areas involved, no matter how small.
  • Maintains confidentiality and is detail-oriented.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR Management or related field, required. Familiarity with employment law and HRIS systems, highly desired.

Previous Experience:

  • 0-3 years’ of progressively responsible experience in an HR role or HR processes. Previous experience in a clinic or hospital setting desired.

On the Job Training:

  • 6 months

Salary Range: $22.21-$25.55 per hour depending on experience.

This position will be posted for a minimum of three days, subsequently until filled.
