Whether augmenting their HR department or serving as a complete outsourced solution, our suite of services and experienced professionals help companies navigate through ever-evolving employment regulations, training needs, and recruitment headaches.POSITION SUMMARYHR Consulting Solutions is continuing to grow and is looking for an experienced Human Resources professional to complement our existing team. The HR Consultant role provides guidance and support to our existing clientele and our internal team of experts. This person must demonstrate strong business acumen and possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a genuine desire to deliver results proactively and consistently.This position offers a flexible, remote, work arrangement with a part-time schedule. The chosen Consultant will work directly with our clients in developing & executing customized HR programs. Our client base includes a wide range of small to midsize companies & nonprofits throughout the United States and Canada. However, this position will focus heavily on our Western Kentucky clientele. The Consultant will occasionally work onsite at our client's workplace but will mostly work on a remote basis.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a business partner/HR generalist to a set of clients, offering extensive consultation with regards to all human resources practices, policies, and procedures, including employee relations, FMLA, ADA, performance management, employee engagement and retention, recruitment, staffing, compensation, and training.
  • Investigate and analyze complex HR issues, providing coaching and guidance to business leaders and HR partners.
  • Interpret client contracts and management of billable work with responsibility to track and properly report time.
  • Serve as contact for clients and clients’ employees to answer questions regarding, among other things, policy, benefits, and payroll compliance.
  • Keep internal and external management advised of potential problem areas and recommends/implements solutions as appropriate.
  • May conduct HR assessments and create report for presentation to the client.
  • Compose, proofread, spellcheck, and edit correspondence, reports and other original written outputs.
  • Develop a myriad of various HR policies and procedures.
  • Create forms and disciplinary citations.
  • Lead Human Resources Strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned by CEO/Founder.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESThis position requires a proactive, independent individual with strong quantitative and conceptual skills. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills and be able to function and succeed in many different environments. This is your opportunity to make an impact and help organizations’ with their HR needs. The drive and determination to lead Human Resources initiatives is a must. 
  • Bachelor’s degree required (advanced HR degree a plus).
  • SHRM-CP/PHR or SHRM-SCP/SPHR designation required.
  • 5 years of HR & business experience. Business acumen is as important as HR knowledge to be successful in this position.
  • Advanced working knowledge of state and federal regulations (i.e., COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA, ACA, AAP, EEO, etc.)
  • Demonstrated excellence in previous HR/Business endeavors.
  • Thorough understanding of human resources principles and practices, including employment laws and regulations within multiple states, but specifically Kentucky law.
  • Knowledge of HR metrics and ability to benchmark, measure, analyze and articulate the value of HR initiatives, practices, and policies.
  • Must possess “consulting skills” & be viewed as professional & knowledgeable by our clients.
  • Superior verbal/written skills and presentation skills.
  • Good punctuation, spelling, grammar, and attention to detail a must.
  • Strong interpersonal skills essential.
  • Results-focused, accountable, motivated, and highly organized.
  • Skilled in and familiar with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email, and calendaring.
  • Expertise in HR Strategy with experience in Benefits Management, Performance Management, Orientation/Onboarding Programs, Recognition Programs, Organizational Effectiveness, HR Compliance Support, Compensation Benchmarking, Employment Policies, Employee Engagement Initiatives, and Professional Development
JOB TYPE / WORK LOCATION / SCHEDULE
  • Job Type: Part-Time; Independent Contractor
  • Schedule: With the exception of an occasional client visit and intermittent virtual/video meetings, you get to work in the comfort of your own home (in your pj’s if you’d like)!
  • Work Location: This position will help manage our portfolio of clientele in Western Kentucky. Although this is a remote position, candidates will sometimes need to meet onsite with our clients. Therefore, the incumbent must live in/around Paducah, KY.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide verification of employment.
  • Active and valid driver’s license.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
