This individual will be tasked with: Responsibilities Include:
Provides administrative support to ensure efficient office operations Public Relations and Communications Working with technology to support our team and schools Researches as requested and compiles and summarizes information for reports or presentations Drafts and edits letters, reports, and other correspondence
Develop, supplement, and monitor reporting procedures. Facilitate employee conferences in compliance with district policies, practices and procedures. Coordinate all employee hearing and grievance requests. Develop a wide variety of reports, written responses, and presentations in both manual and electronic formats for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information. Other duties may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to discern the importance and urgency of issues in real time. Ability to effectively handle highly sensitive, confidential personnel matters in a timely and professional manner. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and community in a multicultural urban school district. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies. Ability to perform a variety of tasks, changing assignments on short notice. Ability to work as a productive team member. Ability to conform to proper standards of professional dress and appearance.
Interrelations:
Contact with district personnel, stakeholders and vendors. Will be working under the direct supervision of the Superintendent and Business Manager in order to complete day to day tasks. Will be working with a diverse population requiring the ability to handle all situations with tact and diplomacy. Must understand and respond appropriately to staff and community member needs and maintain a positive attitude with all.
