Serenity Real Estate Team is Hiring an Administrative Assistant Near Loudonville, NY

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented administrative assistant interested in learning about real estate investing. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be proficient in computer applications, and have a strong ability to multitask. As an Administrative Assistant in real estate, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.

Typical duties of the position will include but not limited to the following:

  • Performing various data entry and similar tasks in the Appfolio property management software (training to be provided);
  • Regularly communicating with tenants regarding rent payment, initiation of eviction proceedings, and maintenance and other tenant concerns;
  • Communicating with contractors and repair persons regarding tenant concerns and scheduling repairs and maintenance;
  • Collecting and reviewing various mail correspondence at the business PO Box, depositing checks received at the PO Box in the appropriate bank accounts, scanning and saving all mail in the cloud-based database;
  • Making phone calls to utility companies, garbage collection companies, municipal offices, supply and material companies, and similar 3rd parties to make payments, schedule appointments, and place orders;
  • Going to properties to meet with tenants, utility company representatives, contractors, etc. to deliver various notices, provide access to common areas and apartments, and conduct walk-throughs;
  • Completing fill-in-the blank forms and contracts with the guidance of the company’s managers;
  • Other similar administrative and property-management tasks.

Must-have skills and attributes:

  • Excellent communication skills;
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • A working knowledge of Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets;
  • A working knowledge of PDF editor software;
  • Ability to do basic tasks, such as printing, scanning, and emailing documents;
  • Must have a drivers license and reliable transportation as the position requires frequent local travel;
  • Must be willing to learn new skills;
  • Must be able to work alone and together with various other team members;
  • Must be hard-working, reliable, and honest.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.50 per week
