About Stellic

Stellic is a unified SaaS platform designed to empower all students on their way to degree completion and career success. Originally built by students to more effectively plan ahead, today we’re really proud to serve all segments of higher ed, at institutions like Carnegie Mellon University, Academy of Art University, Tufts University, UChicago, Ohio State, University of Oklahoma among others.

A bit about our philosophy: we’ve put student experience at the heart of our platform to address some of higher ed’s biggest challenges right now. 40% of the students who enter college will get lost in navigating degree requirements and will drop out — costing $200B to institutions annually. A big cause is that most of higher ed has been using antiquated and disparate tools to manage student progress, and that’s led to low student engagement, overwhelmed advisors, wasted resources.

Stellic’s response is to give students a powerful, user-friendly experience to plan ahead and manage their progress, helps them make informed decisions and take ownership. That data is then put to good use. Advisors and administrators have access to student planning and progress data like never before, which helps scale support and allocate resources based on what the students need. It’s a win-win for everyone involved.

With millions of students in higher ed, Stellic's work is far from finished. By joining our team, you’ll help get us a step closer to our mission of empowering all students to have the best-possible experiences and outcomes.

About the Role

We're looking for a dynamic Product Manager to propel us into a new era of integration excellence, paving the way to serving our partners efficiently and plan for our next growth phase. This pivotal role is centered on crafting an integration framework that takes a product-first approach. While others see projects, you see a product solution that gets to the core of the need so that you build it once and can serve all partners (past and future). You'll tackle the ambitious goal of developing a system that simplifies data ingestion from our partners, initially and on an ongoing basis enhancing their engagement with Stellic to enrich user experiences. This opportunity places you at the very core of revolutionizing our data ingestion strategy. You'll have the unique privilege of building a product from the ground up, leaving your mark across every facet of its development. In addition to the data later, you will also be responsible for developing partner-facing tools that help them with the initial setup, provides them with critical information about data ingestion and enables them to self-serve customizing different experiences of the Stellic product.

This is a significant area that affects all parts of our offering so if you're passionate about tackling a core business challenge and eager to witness the broad-reaching effects of your contributions, this position is tailor-made for you.

This role is hybrid remote and located in San Mateo 3 days per week.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Work closely with the Partner Success and Engineering counterparts to understand the partner needs and come up with creative solutions to serve them
  • Identify patterns among different partners needs to build a product centric roadmap that helps move our data team from professional services model to a product delivery model
  • Tackle complex product design challenges by synthesizing business, technology, and user needs into simple, holistic designed data solutions
  • Ability to juggle multiple, high-priority projects efficiently and deliver them on time and high quality

You'd be a great fit for this role if you have the following skills and experiences:

  • Proven Experience: 5 years of product management experience with a successful track record of developing and launching software products.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and database management. Familiarity with software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and creatively to solve complex problems and identify opportunities to build product solutions that reduce and eliminate manual interventions in data ingestion process. Experience in transforming services into scalable product offerings is highly desirable.
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Customer-Centric: Deep empathy for customers (external and internal) and a passion for improving their experience and outcomes through product solutions.

  • Generous stock options in a Series A stage startup
