This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of our esteemed clients based in the vibrant city of Fort Lauderdale, FL. As a key team member, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing and refining the process of time capture to the general ledger, ensuring our client's team members are compensated accurately and efficiently. Collaborating with subject matter experts and business process owners, you'll help implement new features and enhancements, with a focus on Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence. This includes designing, building, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Workday features to meet service levels, prioritizing enhancement backlog, and troubleshooting system and process performance issues. You'll also play a crucial role in overseeing Team Member Support Services for Time, Payroll, and Accounting. Responsibilities:
  • Workday Management:
    • Partner with the Payroll, HR, HRIS, Accounting, and Finance teams to understand, plan, and manage.
    • Assess requirements, provide recommendations, and design solutions to ensure user ease of adoption.
  • System Testing and Enhancement:
    • Create, review, and participate in system testing and enhancements, including process upgrades, system patches, and Workday Releases.
    • Conduct regression testing and other system improvements to align overall system performance with business objectives.
  • User Training and Reporting:
    • Train internal team members, end-users, and peers on new processes and functionality.
    • Develop communication of changes and benefits to end users.
    • Create, edit, and prepare reports and user-friendly dashboards in collaboration with Accounting, Payroll, and HR teams.
  • Job Costing Integration and Data Integrity:
    • Coordinate with financial controllers, project managers, and payroll administrators to ensure accurate job costing across various construction and solar projects via Workday and multiple 3rd party systems.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to maintain data integrity.
  • HR Process Enhancement and User Experience:
    • Improve the overall employee experience of HR & Payroll processes by conducting user experience sessions with various stakeholders.
    • Identify opportunities for improvement and collect the voice of the customer.
  • Compliance and Vendor Liaison:
    • Provide support for audits, certifications, and compliance requirements.
    • Implement system integrations and debug integration issues and defects, primarily with payroll and benefits vendors.
    • Act as a liaison between the company and external vendors and consultants, particularly in aligning the Workday Payroll system with construction timelines and high-turnover workforce management.
  • Team Member Support Governance:
    • Ensure that all payroll, absence, time tracking, and job costing cases are tracked, monitored, and resolved in a timely and effective manner.
    • Collaborate with business process owners to address complex or high-priority cases, providing guidance and solutions as needed.
    • Monitor SLA compliance and recommend corrective actions to meet or exceed established performance targets.
    • Continuously assess and optimize SLAs based on evolving business needs and feedback.
    • Define and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of shared services.
    • Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide visibility into service performance.
Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of job costing principles and practices
  • Proficiency with Workday and Microsoft Office software products.
  • Expertise in human resource information systems (HRIS) and/or the ability to quickly learn new applications.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in information systems, computer science, or business administration or commensurate experience required.
  • Extensive business process knowledge, configuration, and hands-on experience (minimum of three years) in Workday Payroll with a preference for at least two of the following additional areas: HCM, Recruiting, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, Projects, and Core Financials.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental payroll practices, including but not limited to state compliance in main regions of business, contextualization of downstream impacts across each module to payroll & labor costing, and the overall payroll processing workflow.
  • Practical experience with high-volume hourly labor industries.
  • Practical Workday integration experience and Workday Certification are preferred but not required.
  • Experience with configuring Workday modules, including integrating with third-party apps.
