Tidewater Express Inc is Hiring a Director of Operations Near Williamsburg, VA
Requirements:
- Maintain high quality repairs and minimize comebacks, and conduct checks of completed jobs for quality
- Oversee diesel shop and schedule technicians to tasks on a daily basis
- Manage technicians including hiring, training, and evaluating
- Ensure all work is completed and meets all quality and safety standards
- Uphold all safety standards and regulations including auditing for compliance and monthly safety meetings
- Minimize downtime and drive timely service by prioritizing work on a daily or weekly basis
- Monitor operation expenses
- Develop long and short term goals and provide direction for the team through team meetings
- Have knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
- Must be experienced in heavy diesel engine diagnostics and repairs
- Work with Parts Advisor to always be improving the overall profitability of each job and the shop overall
- Keep current on new equipment or tools and recommend purchases to diesel technicians
- Knowledge and use of computer aided diagnostic software and hardware is a must
- Make customer satisfaction a priority, ensuring office staff are courteous and respectful
- Handle customer complaints immediately and according to Tidewater Express Inc. guidelines
- Attend quarterly management meetings
- Approve employee time records and time off requests
- Maintain a safe and working environment
- Responsible for overall condition of the shop and shop equipment
- Any other duties as assigned by the President
