Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking experienced ***Medical Scribe***.
Positions available in Norfolk, and Virginia Beach.

• Preferred at least six months of recent medical transcription experience.

This is a FULL TIME/TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between the hours of 8AM-5:00PM (must be flexible with providers schedule), Monday through Friday, located in Norfolk and Virginia Beach.
Responsibilities :
A Day in the life of a Medical Scribe :
As a Scribe for Oncology you will follow the physician through his or her workday and chart patient encounters in real-time using an electronic health record and other templates. The Scribe will also generate referral letters for physicians, manages and sort medical documents within the EHR system and assist with e-prescribing. The Scribe may handle data management tasks for the physician in real-time. Must be able to apply knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology to the transcription of proofreading of medical dictation from originators. Transcribes physician dictation to include notes, letters, history and physical reports, hospital dismissals/interval notes, sign-out lists, and other physician correspondence or typing a requested. Clarifies dictation that is unclear or incomplete, seeking assistance when necessary.
Requirements for the Medical Scribe :

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent required
• Required: Previous medical scribe experience
• Required: Clinical/healthcare experience
• Required: COVID vaccination
• Required: Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
• Required: Typing at least 60 wpm
• Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Required: Must be willing to travel to various clinic locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications for the Transcriptionist :

• Preferred: Clinical/healthcare experience in oncology/hematology preferred
• Preferred: G2 or EMR experience is a plus
• Preferred: CMT certification preferred (Certified Medication Tech)
