Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking experienced ***Medical Transcriptionists***.
Position available in Newport News

• Preferred at least 3-5 years of recent medical transcription experience.

This is a FULL TIME/TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between the hours of 8AM-5:00PM (must be flexible with providers schedule), Monday through Friday, located in Newport News.
Responsibilities :
A Day in the life of a Transcriptionist :
As a Transcriptionist will handle data management tasks for the physician. Must be able to apply knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology to the transcription of proofreading of medical dictation from originators. Transcribes physician dictation to include notes, letters, history and physical reports, hospital dismissals/interval notes, sign-out lists, and other physician correspondence or typing a requested. Clarifies dictation that is unclear or incomplete, seeking assistance when necessary.
Requirements for the Transcriptionist :

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent required
• Required: Previous medical transcription experience
• Required: Clinical/healthcare experience
• Required: Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
• Required: Typing at least 60 wpm
• Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Required: Must be willing to travel to various clinic locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications for the Transcriptionist :

• Preferred: Clinical/healthcare experience in ortho preferred
• Preferred: NextGen or EMR experience is a plus
