Job Description Position Summary Safely monitors and maintains the wastewater treatment (WWT) system. Performs various laboratory and field tests to ensure safe working conditions producing top quality output with minimal disruptions. Effectively communicates with co-workers, superiors, and other teams/departments. Duties and Responsibilities
Monitors and maintains the WWT system
Performs various laboratory and field tests to ensure quality results
Monitors, calculates, and adjusts chemical dosages within the WWT system
Monitors and assists with chemical loading and off-loading (bulk and tote)
Monitors and assists with hazardous and non-hazardous waste collection, loading, and documentation
Utilizes power washers and other tools to thoroughly clean WWT equipment
Conducts basic preventative maintenance
Troubleshoot pumps, tools, chemical streams, and other various equipment to prevent safety, environmental, quality, or productivity issues
Responds to major spills as a member of the spill response team
Conducts periodic safety and quality risk assessments and leads or assists with implementing corrective actions to lower risks
Maintains a 5S compliant workstation
Supports ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements
Performs special projects as requested and related tasks as needed
Essential Skills and Experience
Active GA WWT Operator License (Industrial/Class 3 or greater)
English language competency and legible writing ability
Basic math skills
Basic chemistry skills
Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills
Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work with little to no oversight
Must be able to obtain Kubota LOTO, Confined Space Entry certification within 90 days
Must be able to obtain Kubota sit down forklift certification within 90 days
Successful PFT evaluation or ability to successfully pass the PFT requirement within 90 days
HAZWOPER and DOT certification or ability to obtain certification within 6 months
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience working in confined spaces
Experience conducting laboratory tests (titrations, metal concentrations, etc.)
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
