Job Summary:

A maintenance technician performs skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of machinery, equipment and maintenance tasks mainly within the 601 and 605 Pro-Ject Drive, Elmwood, WI locations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Maintain machinery and equipment in good working order.
• Complete preventive maintenance requirements as scheduled.
• Troubleshoot sources of problems by observing equipment in operation.
• Replace defective parts and adjust equipment.
• Control downtime by performing routine maintenance and instructing workers on the proper operation of equipment.
• Knowledge of GMP - ISO is a plus.
• Maintain equipment parts, supply inventory, fill out corresponding forms and paperwork associated with proper documentation procedures.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
• Observe all safety requirements and regulations at all times.
• Ability to work with or support a three-shift operation.
• Perform other job duties as assigned by your Manager.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficient in using manual and power tools safely.
• Prior experience with general maintenance, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient troubleshooting skills.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or systems to remove and replace defective parts.
• Professional presentation and attitude.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Ability to conduct repetitive climbing (ladders, lifts, and scaffolding), stooping, kneeling, bending, and reaching over head.
• Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams such as Production, Molding, Engineering or similar departments.
