HavenSmart, LLC is Hiring an Accounts Payables Specialist Near Dallas, TX
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in accounting software and data entry. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing and recording invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring timely payments.
- Assist senior financial officers as needed
- Post business transactions, process invoices and purchase orders, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures and document the AP process.
- Provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization
- Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables
- Ensure the accuracy of an organization’s financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposes
- Protect businesses against unintentional overpayment
- Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approvals prior to payment
- Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry
- Execute credit card and bank account reconciliations
- Record and post accounts payable related accruals and other entries as part of month-end close
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Superb time management skills and detail orientation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information
- Experience with accounting software and online platforms
- Experience in accounts payable and receivables
REQUIREMENTS
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
- Data entry accuracy and speed
- Knowledge of journal entries, debits, credits, and general ledger reconciliation
- Familiarity with financial concepts and terminology
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Ability to analyze financial data accurately
