Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
- Teach various subjects, including but not limited to math, science, language arts, and social studies.
- Provide instruction in physical education, promoting physical fitness and healthy habits.
- Foster the social and emotional development of students through activities and discussions.
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote active learning.
- Incorporate technology into the classroom to enhance learning experiences.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behavior and implement appropriate behavior management strategies.
- Provide academic support through tutoring and individualized instruction for students who need extra help.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification or license.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and educational theories.
- Strong communication skills, including public speaking and writing abilities.
- Familiarity with library services and resources for educational purposes.
- Understanding of special education practices and strategies for inclusion.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and parents/guardians.
- Experience in education administration, such as curriculum development or program coordination, is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to provide academic advising to students.
