Clientmind is Hiring a QA Manager Near Greenbelt, MD

Clientmind Recruiting is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Manager for a rapidly growing technology company based in Greenbelt, MD. As a recently ISO 9001:2015 certified company, they are searching for someone to join their ranks and continue their tradition of delivering high quality products to their customers. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter accustomed to both managing and maintaining a Quality Management System for a government technology company delivery of both hardware and software products.


Objectives of this Role


  • Strategize, implement, and maintain a Quality Management System that adheres to organizational objectives and contractual requirements
  • Develop quality processes for evaluation and improvement
  • Maintain organizational and customer (government) standards of quality and reporting
  • Oversee quality across multiple projects and teams, ensuring quality goals are reached while supporting on-time delivery
  • Establish a well documented process for quality management between the organization and their AS9100 certified contract manufacturer

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities


  • Maintain and manage their QMS and be accountable for maintaining their ISO 9001:2015 certification
  • Work closely with cross functional teams and assigned project leads to execute the Quality Management System
  • Support project teams (internal and sub contractor) for optimal quality assurance, and coordinate and execute QMS activities on cross-project initiatives
  • Identify key quality goals for cross functional teams and external vendors, partners, and subcontractors
  • Work with other team members to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the company
  • Schedule and lead internal quality audits
  • Support, review, and monitor nonconformance reports, corrective action reports, and root cause analyses
  • Establish processes and lead communications with customer (Government) quality representatives including DCMA personnel; support regular Government audits and site visits at the client site and sub-contractor facilities

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Secret security clearance desirable (or ability to obtain Secret level clearance)
  • Bachelor’s degree required (technical degree preferred)
  • 8-10 years of experience in a Quality Management role for technology projects/programs
  • An ASQ quality control certification is preferred
  • Experience as in internal auditor – certification is preferred
  • Experience interacting with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) in a quality management role is preferred
  • Experience in Configuration Management is a plus
  • A “doer” that can effectively support the team while working side-by-side and being hands- on in meeting the contract quality requirements
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating an ability to communicate and interact easily and effectively with a wide variety of individuals and echelons in both written and verbal forms
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Project and Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint)
  • Ability to interpret/analyze complex information within operational and development environments
  • Possess the energy and experience to demonstrate sound judgment, foresight, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Work independently, as well as in a team environment, within the bounds and guidelines of the organization
  • Willingness to travel to meet and work with the customer on site
