We’re looking for a Stockroom Clerk for a well established electronics firm in Manassas, Virginia. This is a full time position. JOB SUMMARY:

The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for the organization and maintenance of the inventory, pulling kits, and issuing the required parts to support the assembly of products.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organize inventory, maintain stockroom integrity, organization and cleanliness.

• Pull inventory per Pick Lists and organize into build kits for assembly for scheduled build jobs.
• Count inventory manually, and/or with a scale to verify inventory accuracy.
• Verify inventory counts and part numbers from the daily deliveries, and resolve discrepancies with the team, supervisor, and department head where necessary.
• Perform weekly cycle counts of inventory to maintain accuracy and integrity of inventory.
• Issuance of parts will be through an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, such as Quick Books Enterprise, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or others.
• Ensure accurate documentation of production work orders, kits, inventory counts, work in progress, and quality control paperwork are entered into the ERP system and records retained.
• Work with purchasing, engineering, and quality control personnel to identify non-conforming parts.
• Research and track missing parts, update parts information and locations.
• Maintain a second inventory location for customer-supplied parts.
• Assist with problem-solving (lost and damaged parts) and support other areas, as necessary.
• Comply with all departmental quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
• Follow all departmental clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
• Assist with Shipping & Receiving on an as needed basis.

• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Preference to candidates who have worked with an ERP, a manufacturing resource planning (MRP) system, or other inventory tracking software system.

• Requires the ability to read, follow and understand a structured product Bill of Materials (BoM)
• Must have exceptional organizational skills and be detail-oriented.
• Must demonstrate basic arithmetic without a calculator (i.e. adding and subtracting).
