Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential care and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the overall well-being of patients in various healthcare settings.

Duties:

- Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Monitor and record vital signs under the direction of healthcare professionals
- Provide assistance with feeding, tube feeding, and catheter care as needed
- Support patients with mobility issues and help them move around
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients undergoing hospice care
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care
- Work in settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or private residences

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Personal Care Assistant or similar role in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic patient care techniques
- Familiarity with assisting individuals with activities of daily living
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Understanding of safety protocols and infection control measures in healthcare environments
