Location: Macomb- Macomb, MI,United States (US)Employment Status: Hourly Full-TimeFunction: ManufacturingReq ID:24585Primary FunctionWork in coordination with the Manager and other coworkers to ensure that all jobs are welded to the specifications of each job and meets the outlined requirements.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
  • Weld components in all positions.
  • Experience with TIG steel weld, Stainless Steel and Aluminum meeting AWS standards.
  • Operating equipment using safe work habits.
  • Examining work pieces for defects.
  • Measure work pieces with straight edges, tape measure, scale, or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Weld steel, aluminum, invar or other alloys.
  • Clamping, holding, tack-welding, grinding or bolting component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Able to read blueprints and weld symbols
  • Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Documents actions by completing production time sheets.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Proficient with GMAW and GTAW
  • Other duties as assigned
Education And Experience
  • High school diploma/GED, certificate in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent work experience
