Asian Pacific Community Counseling is Hiring an Administrative Assistant Near Sacramento, CA

POSITION : Administrative Assistant

JOB CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

THE ORGANIZATION

Asian Pacific Community Counseling (APCC) promotes mental health and wellness in Asian and Pacific Islander communities through culturally and linguistically relevant outreach, prevention, education, counseling and recovery support services and by providing training and consultation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Under the supervision of the Administrative Manager and the Chief Operations Officer, administrative assistant will be responsible for clerical and front office tasks including scheduling appointments, tracking referrals, maintaining client’s records, generating reports, email and mail correspondence, greeting clients and other related tasks to office operations
  • Responsible for monitoring, tracking eligibility and compliance using an Electronic Health Record Database/AVATAR for clients
  • Ensure office suites, parking lots are functional, safe and clean; facility repairs are resolved and security system are functional
  • Work with IT staff to resolve computer or database issues
  • Coordinate client activities or community meetings and activities on site or in the community including setup and cleanup

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and provide friendly and respectful customer service
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment that is client-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work appropriately and meet deadlines
  • Ability to establish and maintain appropriate boundaries with clients
  • Bilingual/bicultural skills are preferred

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma and 1 - 2 years of college
  • 2 years of office/administrative experience
  • Must pass DOJ background check
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet or database software, including Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • General clerical skills and experience, including reception, filing, data input, and use of office machines.
  • Math, reading and writing skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
