This position reports to: Summerville Campus Pastor
The mission: The role of Assistant Campus Pastor/Launch Team is to assist an existing campus and the Campus Pastor in all aspects of campus leadership, congregational development, and campus operations, with an overarching goal to develop into a future campus pastor launching in a brand new location that aligns with Seacoast mission to help others Find God, Grow their Faith, Discover their Purpose, and Make a Difference. 

 Key Responsibilities: 

• Learn and establish a foundation in Seacoast Ministries and culture
  • Fully support, champion and promote the ministries, leadership and mission of Seacoast Church
  • Spend time learning and understanding how each department of Seacoast operates
  • Understand the specific needs and challenges of staff members within their departments
  • Assist in helping make things better
  • Meet with Campus Pastor regularly to discuss learning and growth opportunities
• Weekend Support:
  • Assist the Campus Pastor in Weekend Experience services and leading the congregation to grow in relationship with Christ
  • Meet, greet and build relationships with the congregation during assigned Weekend services
  • Spend time in each department understanding the weekend experience in each of those environments
• Pre-Launch Team Leader
  • Recruit and develop a Core Team for a new Campus Launch, whether within the existing congregation or in the new community location
  • Develop teams to establish core ministries: worship and weekend experience team, dream team, Kidscoast, Custom Students, and Small Groups. 
  • Plan and execute Core team gatherings
  • Manage Launch funds while casting vision to Core Team in building a tithe base to sustain and support the financial health of the new campus
• Team Player:
  • Actively participate in weekly Campus meetings; attend 1-on-1 meetings with leader; attend monthly All Staff meetings
  • Support the goals of the Campus by demonstrating teamwork and performing other duties as requested with excellence
• Pastoral Duties (if licensed)
  • Conduct weddings, funerals, and baptisms, as well as assist with communion, and pastoral care events, like hospital visits. 
  • Participate in the Pastor-On-Call rotation
  • Offer Pastoral Counseling as needed to attendees
