Carry out the Vision of the Seacoast Student Ministry
Create leadership opportunities for volunteers to meet needs within the campus
Care for every leader (know the condition of your flock, Prov. 27:23)
Provide relational opportunities for leaders to connect and have fun
Regular communication to leaders
Follow up with all interested adult volunteers, ensure communication and placement in areas of ministry need
Recruit, train, and retain leaders in your flow
Connect with parents to build trust in your leadership and trust in the ministry
Regularly communicate all campus specific needs to parents
Promote, point to, and encourage parent connect registration
Counsel parents as needs arise
Connect with students to help them get connected to the ministry and connect them to a significant relationship
Connect students to a small group and small group leader
Regularly have a presence at the school campus (lunches, performances, serving the school, speak at clubs, etc.)
Bring additional structure to the spiritual development of MS/HS students through One Nights, small groups, weekend or midweek services, special events, camps, retreats, etc.
Assist in transitioning students from Elementary to Middle School to High School to College
Effectively follow up with Salvations, First Time guests, next step indications
Be on call for miscellaneous needs that arise that may need attention (hospital visits, detention centers, home visits, etc.)
Counsel students as needs arise
Small Groups
Assist the Student Pastor in implementing the overall vision and purpose of small groups
Responsible for all aspects of ensuring adult and student leaders are connecting with one another and building community through leading a strong, healthy, and growing small group
Take ownership of growing the attendance strategically and purposefully
Participate in execution of annual small group plan, group leader identification, recruitment, and ongoing leadership training, coaching, and, care of all small group leaders
Implement the provided small group curriculum and assist in facilitating leadership care, coaching and structure for each group
Think through each week creatively and purposefully to prepare for an effective encounter with God
One Night
PARTICIPATE every second Wednesday with your campus
PROMOTE student involvement
PREPARE all travel arrangements for your campus
COMMUNICATE all campus information
Events
Campus-specific event coordinating, logistics, promotion, and communication
Day to Day Responsibilities
Set up / Clean up environments, purchase supplies as needed
Oversee production of necessary elements and environments including audio, video, worship, etc.
Interoffice communication: inform staff and campus of all student happenings, requests, responsibilities and details managed
Calendar: oversee student ministry calendar, plan and communicate accordingly
Process background checks for new volunteers and existing volunteers every three years
Process drive form for staff or volunteers who will drive on church business, including transporting students
Report attendance numbers of students and volunteers for Weekend services, small groups, and one night weekly to campus admin
Manage budget and finances for the student ministry as well as keep detailed records
Reconcile monthly credit card statements properly coding each purchase
Actively participate in weekly campus meeting, prepare and engage staff with happenings in student ministry; attend one-on-one meetings with campus pastor; attend weekly student ministry meetings
Handle all administrative needs that the student ministry requires
Attend monthly all staff meeting
Support the goals of the Student Ministry by demonstrating teamwork and performing other duties as requested
