Location: Washington, D.C.

Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package based on qualifications; classified as full-time salaried; exempt and not eligible for overtime.

Reports to: Foster K. White, Senior Director of Digital Assets

Travel: Occasional travel may be required

Position Overview

The Digital Assets Manager is a pivotal role dedicated to overseeing the complete lifecycle of digital assets, from creation through archiving. This position will work across various departments, including marketing, merchandising, and production, to ensure the organization, maintenance, and efficient utilization of digital content. This role demands a proactive individual passionate about technology, with a strategic mindset to manage and optimize digital asset workflows and contribute to the brand’s success. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a streamlined approach for organizing and maintaining image files, video files, and all digital deliverables, ensuring efficient inbound and outbound flows through the editing and approval process.
  • Oversee the digital asset lifecycle, including asset request, reviews, approvals, handoff, and archiving, ensuring all digital assets are in spec, properly named, and ready for use.
  • Leverage strong change management skills to lead and support cross-functional teams through digital transformation initiatives, ensuring seamless adaptation to new processes, technologies, and strategies for digital asset management and optimization.
  • Collaborate strategically with Marketing, Merchandising, and Creative teams to produce high-performing, brand-defining visual assets.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams as it relates to digital asset creation, management, and deliverables.
  • Work with a team leads to provide feedback to photography, video production, and retouching contractors, maintaining high production value and brand consistency.
  • Manage the organization of digital assets in content management databases, ensuring accessibility and proper archiving.
  • Coordinate with Production and Post-production teams for timely delivery of assets, adhering to technical specifications and quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in a digital asset management role within a dynamic production environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large volumes of digital assets and overseeing asset management workflows and processes.
  • Proficiency in digital asset management systems, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge), Basic knowledge of Figma and other content management tools.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong project management skills with a keen ability to prioritize tasks in a high-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and organizational standards.
  • Excellent technical skills with a thorough understanding of digital asset specifications, metadata taxonomy, and file storage systems.
  • An analytical and process-oriented mindset capable of developing and executing a metadata tagging methodology and organizing digital files logically for easy access and efficiency.
  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external parties.
  • A deep understanding and passion for technology, with the agility to adapt to new tools and processes that enhance asset management efficiency.
  • Leadership qualities with a track record of partnership and collaboration, driving projects to completion while managing multiple priorities.

This position requires a mix of strategic planning, technical proficiency, and collaborative teamwork to manage Tuckernuck's library of digital assets effectively, supporting the company's sales goals and brand initiatives.
