Job Description

Position Summary: The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of program activities and will assist in the identification, development and delivery of educational programs and initiatives; will ensure services meet contract, funding, accreditation requirements, and are consistent with the mission, vision and values of the Columbus Urban League (CUL).

Program Description: The Ready2Earn and Work Readiness Training University (WRT) is an experiential learning opportunity where CUL provides TANF eligible Franklin County youth, ages 14-18, with career readiness training, professional development, mentorship, community engagement, and placed-based educational opportunities during the summer. Participants demonstrate knowledge and skill gains in Ohio Means Job Readiness Domains.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in program design, facilitate survey and evaluation methods, and assist in curriculum development
  • Participate in research and evidence-based practices and reporting.
  • Coordinate trainings and workshops.
  • Communicate with parents, work sites, staff, and stakeholders
  • Provide supervision to appropriate direct reports and program participants
  • Implement programmatic goals and objectives

Job Requirements, Education and Experience:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in youth programs and activities
  • Excellent customer service, and professional skills
  • Excellent written and oral presentation ability.
  • Effective time management and independent working ability.
  • Ability to consistency demonstrate initiative and goal-oriented achievement in a fast-paced environment

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (i.e. Human Services, social work, family resource management, communications, political science, education) required; or •
  • Associate degree and two (2) years of relevant experience

Language Skills:

  • Proficient written and spoken literacy ability.
