Position Summary:
The Front of House (FOH) General Manager at Shooters Waterfront is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant's front-of-house, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving sales and profitability. Working closely with the Executive Chef and reporting to the Director of Operations, the FOH General Manager leads a team of managers and service staff to maintain the highest standards of service, hospitality, and operational efficiency.
Reports to: Director of Operations.
Representative Roles and Responsibilities:
Guest:
  • Prioritize exceptional guest experiences, proactively engaging with guests to solicit feedback and build loyalty.
  • Handle guest requests, comments, and complaints effectively, ensuring prompt resolution and guest satisfaction.
  • Lead local sales and marketing efforts to attract new business and cultivate repeat clientele.
Employee:
  • Model and uphold company values and principles, communicating expectations to managers and employees.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a top-quality team of service staff, fostering a culture of guest focus and excellence.
  • Empower managers and employees to make decisions that positively impact the guest experience.
  • Address employee concerns promptly, fostering positive working relationships and a productive work environment.
Financial:
  • Develop and communicate financial goals and strategies to achieve increased sales and profitability.
  • Monitor and manage labor, food, and beverage costs, taking corrective action as needed to meet business targets.
Process Excellence:
  • Ensure the recruitment and retention of high-quality team members, overseeing the hiring process and maintaining staffing levels.
  • Maintain adherence to food safety, sanitation, and quality standards, coaching managers on best practices.
  • Coordinate building maintenance and repairs, oversee inventory management, and conduct administrative duties in compliance with regulations.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in the restaurant, hotel, retail, or similar industry.
  • Proven track record of excellence in a managerial role, with at least 3 years of consistent achievement in a full-service restaurant environment preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with proficiency in English.
  • ServSafe and other relevant certifications preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
