Position Summary:

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accountant delivers truly great guest service while preparing daily reports, journals for entry, reconciliations of balance sheet items, reconciliation of invoices received for requests of payment from external business partners, and assisting with audits of revenue activity for Casino and Racing Operations.

Essential Functions

• Processes input data according to established accounting procedures, facilitating timely and accurate recordings.
• Communicates with company personnel and customers to ensure account records are accurate and complete.
• Types correspondence, memos, file documents, copies and distributes to proper recipients.
• Reviews system documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintains supporting documentation for accounting records as deemed necessary per established audit standards
• Reconciles documents, files and prepares items for record retention as appropriate.
• Notifies supervisor of any potential discrepancies and assists with research and resolution of problems.
• Performs advanced accounting functions in regards to gaming and non-gaming revenue, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and taxes.
• Available for on demand requests from management team as needed
• Complies with and upholds company expectations including Code of Commitment, policies, procedures, industry regulations, department goals and business strategy.
• Politely gives consistent, timely and accurate information and finds answer when unsure.
• Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesar's Entertainment and encourages other to do the same.
• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
• Maintains upbeat, positive attitude, friendly and helpful demeanor, positive energy and enthusiasm from one interaction to the next.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to communicate with all levels of management in a clear, friendly, and confident manner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity of state regulations and generally accepted accounting principles preferred.
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance.
• Must be able to maneuver around office areas, effectively work in high traffic areas and respond to visual and aural cues.
• Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree, with a major in Finance or Accounting preferred.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of Accounting or related experience required.

Required Certification/License

• Must be able to obtain an Ohio Lottery Commission gaming license

• 1 - 2 years: Accounting experience
