AUSTRALIAN GOLD is Hiring a Software Development Technical Team Manager Near Indianapolis, IN

SUMMARY

Responsible for managing the efforts to design, develop, and maintain Helios software and solutions as well as responsible for overseeing the technical support team and administration staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Development and implement Helios software solutions.

Supervise development team and external development resources.

Delegate and coordinate work assignments with internal and external resources.

Drive development projects to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.

Collaborate with team members to identify and fix technical issues.

Analyze end-user needs and design applications and services to fill those needs.

Ensure software and application updates are completed accurately.

Supervise the technical support team to ensure customer inquiries are addressed in a timely manner.

Supervise the technical support team to ensure customer conversions to Helios are addressed in a timely manner.

Supervise account administrator to ensure customer documents are completed timely and accurately.

Work with Vice President of Technology to ensure projects are meeting goals.

Mentor team members to strengthen team.

Recommend and implement development tools and coding standards.

Create documentation to support knowledge sharing; including flowcharts, diagrams, etc.

Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.

Complete tasks assigned on a timely basis with minimal supervision.

Communicate essential information to the employees within the department and/or within the Company.

Completes assignments and tasks provided by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads technical aspects of software developer development. Carries out supervisory responsibilities for a team of 5 in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have a working knowledge of .Net (C# and VB), ASP.NET Web Services/Web APIs and SQL Server. Prefer extensive experience with the following: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React, Node.js and AngularJS a plus) and PHP.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Solid understanding of software development fundamentals, data structures, design patterns and web system architecture.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
