At Atlas Restaurant Group, Senior Graphic Designer will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by leading our design projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and bringing innovative concepts to life. Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Design, the Senior Graphic Designer will demonstrate their expertise in visual storytelling and design to play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our brand and driving our creative vision forward.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This role will supervise Graphic Designers and Junior Graphic Designers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conceptualize and execute design projects from idea to completion.
• Utilize advanced design skills to create original graphic designs that communicate the desired message with a high visual impact.
• Develop and implement motion design elements to enhance visual storytelling and engagement.
• Collaborate with the marketing and operations team on projects such as menu development, publication ads, e-blasts, social media content, logos, brochures, and other promotional materials.
• Modify and edit templated print designs and update restaurant menu designs.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deadlines while ensuring the highest standards of creativity and quality are met.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior design staff, nurturing their professional growth and fostering a positive and innovative work culture.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and tools, and act as a key player in implementing new design initiatives.
• Develop and present design concepts to department members, incorporating feedback into final deliverables.
• Ensure visual identity and brand consistency across all design mediums.
• Support the team through administrative duties such as print and supplies procurement.
• Contribute to the development of the company's creative strategy.
• Continuously demonstrate an eagerness to learn and enhance design skills and knowledge.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
• Strong understanding of composition, typography, hierarchy, and other design principles
• Self-motivated and independent, but enjoys being part of a collaborative environment
• Experience with creating and maintaining visual brand identities
• Knowledge of pre-press file preparation and the printing process
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
• Strong time-management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects concurrently
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
• Ability to receive and give constructive feedback in a team environment
• Ability to work on-site at our Harbor East headquarters.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design preferred
• 6 years of professional graphic design experience
• Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects, including print and digital media required

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects.
