The White River Unified School District is seeking a dynamic full time Physical Education/ Education Children Outdoor (ECO) Teacher PreK-5 for the 2024-2025 school year.The ideal candidate will offer an engaging physical education program of indoor and outdoor sports/activities that leads students to develop lifelong habits of fitness and wellness. Our facility offers an elementary school gym and extensive field space and outdoor facilities. We also offer a Winter Wellness program that includes skiing and snowboarding. Knowledge of cooperative games, challenge by choice, and the national SHAPE standards is desirable.
In addition, they will offer ECO classes in alignment with the Educating Children Outdoors nature immersion program developed by the North Branch Nature Center.The most important quality the ideal candidate will possess is the strong belief that all students can and will learn.A current Vermont Teachers license is required.
