Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate

The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for completing all warehouse operation tasks including receiving goods, picking orders, packing orders, shipping orders, and stocking bins. Experience with shipping small packages with UPS and FedEx is required.

Day in the life of the Shipping and Receiving Associate:

• Prepare correct shipping labels for packages using various shipping methods (UPS, FEDEX, etc.) Record shipment data including weight, charges, SO#, PO# and person requesting shipment.
• Accurately pick merchandise from stock bin locations according to sales order pick ticket. Promptly refill empty bins.
• Accurately pack merchandise in the proper size box with the proper packing material for shipment to customer.
• Attach correct paperwork to each shipment, ensuring all items have been verified and forms initialed.
• Perform in a productive manner, meeting all deadlines.
• Perform quality inspections relating to package conditions, product quality and product count.
• Communicate with supervisors and staff on any issues that relate to the warehouse department.
• Accurately stock items in bin locations.
• Clean and organize warehouse area on a constant basis.
• Unload shipments from containers, some with boxes weighing up to 65 pounds.
• Assist with other areas of warehouse, embroidery, or screen print as time allows.
• Interact positively, using business etiquette, with customers and co-workers.
• Work with other departments to expedite orders.
• Operate warehouse equipment in a safe manner and follow safety regulations.
• Help provide security for inventory. Keep areas locked as necessary, do not leave unattended products on dock or in hall.

Qualifications:

• Experience with FedEx and UPS shipping systems required.
• Experience in a manufacturing-warehouse environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer skills in MS and Outlook.
• Ability to read a sales order or pick ticket.
• No restrictions on climbing stairs and/or lifting weights up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge and experience in driving a forklift a plus. Ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, detail-oriented environment!
• Bilingual a plus.
• Receiving and cycle counting experience a plus.
• Ability to work overtime or Saturday as required and mandatory overtime during peak seasons.
• Regular and consistent attendance is required.

Available Shifts: Mon-Fri 9:00 am – 5:30 pm

Compensation Range: $17.00 – $19.00 hourly (based on experience)
