**Service Manager**

Service Indianapolis, Indiana Job Summary: The Service Manager will provide exceptional customer service after the equipment sale to both internal and external customers. They will also grow and de velop the Service team to ensure employees are highly engaged and able to produce their best work safely and efficiently, while ensuring the S ervice Department operates efficiently and profitably while it grows. Reports to: Director of Product Support

Company Overview: Best Equipment is a family owned and operated environmental equipment dealership headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. We sell and service premium equipment in the garbage and recycling, sweeping and litter control, sewer and storm water, hydroexcavation and underground industries. We sell to municipalities and contractors throughout Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service, and our family values are at the core of everything we do.

Required Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):

- Lead the Road Service and Shop technicians and help them advance in their goals

- Handle customer service requests with a high sense of urgency

- Manage the workload in the service department in order to reach utilization goal

- Promote, quote, and sale of Preventative Maintenance programs

- Create, approve, deliver, and close service quotes

- Support Service Coordinator with scheduling practices and invoicing

- Review of all Warranty invoices prior to submittal

- Plan for seasonal fluctuations in the business by coordination of service marketing calendar

- Create a service training schedule and track technician progress

- Execute on the New and Used Equipment management process

- Complete performance reviews for direct reports, to include developmental goals

- Approve all daily timecards, vacation, etc.

- Support technicians in shop or field when appropriate

- Ensure all technicians and vehicles are a good representation for the company, properly stocked, and maintained.

- Assist with collections as needed

- Support customers with technical information by leveraging inside and outside resources
