·CAD Technician II 100% onsite (locatedin our Glen Allen, VA office). Some work from home is OK, but the expectationis minimum 3 days per week in-office.

·Interview process: 1stround would be a 30-minute screening call with hiring manager (me). 2nd roundwould be in-person preferred, MS Teams with video as a second option. Candidatewould meet with 3 individuals, 45-minutes each.

Travel:

·Travelto a project site may include longer drives with the project team (3-6 hours)or a short flight (e.g. Richmond to Newark), with some overnight stays.

·Thistravel is not mandatory (especially inside of the first 6 months ofemployment), but it’s something we would want to expose our CAD designers toeventually.

·Ifthey are unable to travel due to insurance liability, I’m OK with that for theshort term.

·Thisposition is responsible for preparing working drawings, primarily usingComputer-Aided Drafting and Design (CAD) tools and techniques. It also includesthe interpretation and drafting of engineering sketches.

·Preparehigh quality engineering drawings from established layouts and initial roughsketches utilizing drafting principles, industry graphic standards, andcorporate drawing practices.

·Performbasic mathematical calculations to determine the accurate scaled presentationof scope elements during the development of engineering drawings.

·Setupand maintain CAD files.

·Understandsthe CAD system features and commands.

·Ensureconformance to office and industry drafting standards.

·Convertand import architectural drawing files into CAD.

·Convertand import text and schedules to drawings.

·Abilityto load and utilize lisp files and functions and run script files.

·Understandand comply with quality requirements.

·Estimateproject drafting time to ensure scope, schedule, budget and expectationscorresponds with the team expectations.

·Ensuretimely production and delivery of reprographics.

·Provideinput to designers, engineers and project managers during initial andsubsequent design phases.

·Coordinateand prioritize workload to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met.

·Performfield investigation as required.

·Signaturelevel authority as indicated by the Authorization Level Document

EDUCATION:

·Associatesdegree or two years of progressively responsible experience as a CAD Technicianmay be considered equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

·Two(2) to five (5) years relevant work experience required.
