Objective

The Company is seeking a dynamic leader for our accounting team. The ideal candidate is a sharp, motivated individual with attention to detail and ability to take full ownership of assigned tasks. The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day administration of the accounting team, run the month-end close, and drive efficiency and accuracy of reporting. 

Essential Functions/Job Duties

- Oversee and manage the accounting team responsible for banking, accounts payable, prepaids, accruals, intercompany, and general expenses. 

- Develop, lead, evaluate and mentor the accounting team. 

- Manage the revenue process from preparing client invoices to analyzing monthly revenue trends.

- Develop accurate tracking for fixed assets and inventory components. 

- Run month-end close processes including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing reports. 

- Participate in month-end closing meetings with Senior Management (President, CFO, Director of Finance). 

- Assist in preparing the annual budget and semi-annual reforecasts. 

- Perform budget to actual analyses on a monthly basis, interpret KPIs, and key trends. 

- Prepare cash forecast and review cash flow daily to avoid overdrafts.

- Lead the quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and tax preparation. 

- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and controls. 

- Manage continuous process improvement to help drive efficiency and accuracy of financials.

- Ad hoc report analysis using extensive spreadsheet skills including pivot tables, vlookup formulas, etc. 

- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

- Minimum of 5 years of related accounting experience. 

- Public accounting experience or audit experience is a plus. 

- Advanced Excel.

- Supervisory experience is preferred. 

Skills and Abilities

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

- Ability to summarize and communicate financial data. 

- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of assigned tasks. 

- Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple tasks with daily, weekly and monthly deliverables. 

- Organized, detail oriented, and quality-focused. 

- Knowledge of internal controls and US GAAP. 

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficient with Google Office Suite or Microsoft Office Suite.

- Experience with Looker.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
