We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager to lead our maintenance department at The Lighthouse in National City. This position will oversee the facilities maintenance needs of the facility. The Facilities Manager is responsible for the preventive maintenance program, and coordination with various outside vendors and contractors to ensure all maintenance and repair work is executed efficiently. The successful candidate will maintain high standards of security, safety, and operational excellence, contributing positively to our mission and values. This position reports to the Lighthouse Director and will work collaboratively with the Director of Facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Leadership: Supervises the job training programs for students in maintenance roles (including janitorial, landscaping, and general maintenance) and oversight of contracted labor when needed.
• Maintenance and Repair: Coordinate maintenance and repair activities across various domains such as plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, painting, and structural repairs. Oversee the installation, programming, and repair of automated machinery and equipment.
• Vendor and Operations Coordination: Work closely with the Director of Facilities and external vendors to manage the preventative maintenance program, particularly focusing on mechanical and equipment maintenance.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of machinery and facilities to detect malfunctions and ensure that all equipment operates at optimal levels. Address any deviations by diagnosing issues in collaboration with other maintenance staff.
• Community and Safety: Promote a safe and supportive work environment, ensuring that safety concerns are addressed promptly. The Facilites Manager will be proactive in safety and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Education: Minimum High School Diploma.
• Experience: At least 2 years of full-time work experience in construction, building maintenance, or a related field.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, attentive to detail, and capable of making sensible decisions.
• Abilities: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, effective in public communication, and demonstrate regular, timely attendance.
• Travel: Regular travel is required; must have reliable transportation. Authorized drivers must possess a current California driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
