San Diego Rescue Mission is Hiring a Donor Services Assistant Near San Diego, CA

We are committed to creating a holistic approach to recovery and rehabilitation, ensuring that our programs serve as safe havens for men, women, and children in need.

We are seeking a passionate follower of Jesus with strong administrative skills and a meticulous attention to detail to join our team as a Donor Services Assistant. This position requires an individual who combines excellent analytical thinking with a servant's heart, dedicated to supporting our donors and enhancing our operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Donation Processing and Administration:
    • Accurately process and administer donations in accordance with our policies.
    • Efficiently use the Raise Donors system and CRM software, ensuring high data integrity.
    • Maintain up-to-date donation records and produce daily receipts and acknowledgment letters.
    • Generate accurate reports and maintain communication with passthrough organizations for donor matching.
  • Donor Care:
    • Provide timely and effective responses to donor inquiries via phone and email.
    • Manage notifications and updates to donor records.
    • Maintain exemplary customer care standards in all donor interactions.
    • Assist in managing recurring donations and follow-up on lapses in donor giving.
  • Administrative and Operational Support:
    • Oversee the procurement and management of supplies needed for donation processing and office operations.
    • Suggest and implement improvements to administrative processes to increase efficiency.
    • Provide support for the corporate golf challenge and manage ticketing requests and inquiries.
    • Ensure the office environment is organized and welcoming for all visitors.
  • Spiritual Growth and Leadership:
    • Engage daily in prayer and study of the Word.
    • Demonstrate servant leadership and uphold the mission's values both in private and public settings.
    • Actively participate in a local bible teaching church and pursue continuous personal and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience, preferably in donor services or customer support.
  • Some college education is preferred, along with data entry experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with donor or customer management software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a capacity to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
