The San Diego Rescue Mission is built on beliefs that speak to the heart. We believe this is more than a job, it's a calling to love our neighbors and those in need the way that Jesus would. In our programs, we create a holistic approach to recovery and rehabilitation while ensuring that our programs are a safe haven for men, women, and children who have experienced homelessness.
Do you have the skill and passion for fundraising? Are you a servant-hearted leader and dynamic coach? Are you a strategic builder who can motivate teams to reach into the community and transform donors' lives and hearts through relationships and the act of generosity?
The Director of Donor Development is this leader. They believe that donor relations is a ministry, that generosity is a gift, and that being a fundraiser is to actively bring God's Kingdom to earth through giving and relational partnership.
Because they believe fundraising is a ministry, they push themselves and others to serve in a way that models Christ's love. They dig deep emotionally and spiritually, lean into challenging situations and face conflict head-on because they have a growth mindset and desire authentic relationships with their team and partners.
This leader is self-motivated, a natural initiator, and a creative builder. They thrive on setting a pace that inspires others, including themselves, to be their best self. Their drive to honor God and play a critical role in changing lives in our community inspires them to be dedicated, committed, and an above and beyond team player.
