Team Overview

We're looking for a Senior Director, Analog Design Engineering to lead a team of Seattle-based and remote design engineers solving new technical challenges for large enterprises. Reporting to the SVP, Silicon Engineering, you will operate as both a technical lead engaging the team in product execution and empowering the team's growth and professional development as a strong people leader.

What you will do:

• Lead the design and characterization of industry leading ultra-low power RFID ICs that harvest RF energy to power themselves and operate at deep subthreshold voltages (power consumption is measured in nano Watts).
• Manage a highly talented team of analog designers delivering various ultra-low power analog circuits and mixed-signal blocks including voltage rectifiers, voltage regulators, voltage level shifters, oscillators, ADCs, DACs, charge pumps, CMOS-based NVM.
• Lead the team to develop and bring to market an aggressive product roadmap that spans multiple process technology nodes (3 ) and has multiple products (4 ) targeted for different market segments in different phases of concurrent development.
• Balance program assignments with product delivery schedules and priorities.
• Own the development of the analog design and verification methodology and tools for extraction, pre/post layout simulation, mixed signal and RF simulations with a focus on improving quality and designer efficiency.
• Partner with the Impinj platform and software organizations to innovate and develop and validate new features and use case models at a system level optimizing at both ends of the link.

What you will bring:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering
• Minimum 10 years of management experience in a related field
• Demonstrated success leading teams to deliver RF/analog silicon designs in volume production
• Strong knowledge of various analog and mixed-signal circuit blocks, as well as prior experience with production test plans
• Proficiency with the following: low power analog CMOS design, bandgaps, bias, op-amps, switched-cap circuits, oscillators, as well as standard test and measurement equipment including spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, and oscilloscopes
• Demonstrated track record for growing an organization in size and performance
• Cultural awareness and prior experience in leading teams across geographies
• Proven effectiveness partnering with a strong leadership team to realize a bold product vision and corporate growth opportunities

The typical base pay range for this role across the US is $161,700 to $259,350. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties, requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Both market wage data and the mid-point of the pay range is reviewed and used as the starting point for all new hire offers. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Impinj certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
