Job Title: Sales Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Sales Engineer to support Railhead’s Vision Systems product line. As a Sales Engineer, responsibilities will include requirements gathering, liaising between clients and engineering teams, generating proposal quotes and providing technical expertise and support throughout the sales process.

With a keen eye for detail and strong communication skills, you'll be instrumental in driving successful product adoption, equipment installation, and product marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our video and camera products tailored for railroad applications.
  • Stay updated with technological advancements and industry trends to effectively advise clients.

Lead Generation:

  • Implement strategies to identify and qualify potential leads within the railroad industry.
  • Utilize market research, networking, and customer feedback to expand our client base.

Smart Solution Enablement:

  • Collaborate with clients to develop intelligent solutions that leverage our products to address their specific challenges.
  • Provide expertise in solution design and integration tailored to customer use cases.

Voice of Customer Gathering:

  • Act as the primary liaison between our company and railroad clients to gather insights into their challenges, preferences, and priorities.
  • Utilize customer feedback to inform product development and sales strategies.

Problem Solving for the Customer:

  • Collaborate with clients to identify and resolve technical challenges or obstacles related to the implementation of our products.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to ensure smooth deployment and operation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Liaise with internal groups such as product management, engineering, operations, supply-chain, and quality to deliver world-class products to customers.
  • Ensure alignment between customer needs and product development efforts.

Technical Presentations:

  • Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations showcasing the features and benefits of our products.
  • Translate technical specifications into clear and persuasive language understandable to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Sales Support:

  • Work closely with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and achieve revenue targets.
  • Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle, from initial contact to post-sale implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in sales engineering, preferably within the railroad or transportation industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing business opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
