Job Summary

This position will provide temporary support to the Director, Budget and Financial Planning by performing a range of administrative tasks related to the Budget Office operations.

The Budget Office Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment with priorities that change often. This position will assist the Director with gathering data, conducting research, analyzing data and reporting findings on various financial items.

This is a part-time limited term position; end date to be determined. Duties and Responsibilities Complete project as assigned including, but not limited to :

• Data input and analysis of payroll data
• Create and upload journal entries using the College’s financial software packages
• Review ad submit budget transfers for review and approval by the Director
• Process miscellaneous invoices for payment

Minimum Requirements

• Associates or Higher Degree preferred; High School diploma required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in an office environment, with emphasis on financial tasks.
• Experience in a governmental entity preferred.
• Experience managing departmental budgets.
• Moderate knowledge of Microsoft products, primarily Excel.
• Basic accounting knowledge, to include developing and posting journal entries.
