Salary: $130,000-$150,000 Richard Sandoval Hospitality (RSH) is a hospitality group with global impact. Our innovative approach to food and beverage has built some of the most successful Latin-restaurant concepts across the globe. Our founder, Chef Richard Sandoval, is internationally acclaimed for his approach in combining Latin ingredients with modern culinary techniques to create award-winning flavors that span 60 locations and 4 continents. 
We are looking for a visionary leader with a passion for hospitality and a drive for excellence to oversee and operate two of our well-established and highly-acclaimed restaurants in New York City. 
The NYC General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations for two restaurants. This includes monitoring financial performance, leading staff, and ensuring compliance with all corporate processes and legal requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
  1. Actively participate in the operations of both Back of House (BOH) and Front of House (FOH) functions, adhering to prescribed company policies, procedures, and practices.
  2. Ensure that all General Manager responsibilities and tasks are met within expected timelines.
  3. Maintain compliance with Human Resources processes, including New Hire and Payroll policies.
  4. Enforce compliance with required standards in areas such as staffing, FOH & BOH operations, employee and guest relations, labor costs, beverage costs, food costs, sanitation, food preparation, safety, and working environment.
  5. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local laws (e.g., liquor, labor, OSHA, health, and sanitation).
  6. Actively engage on the floor during service periods and be capable of performing all manager duties and responsibilities of the Front of the House to meet operational goals.
  7. Assist in floor management during service and cover shifts as scheduled.
  8. Coordinate and implement promotions, new product rollouts, and point-of-sale materials.
  9. Interact with guests in the dining room and bar, ensuring exemplary guest experiences.
  10. Provide input for performance appraisals and recommend appropriate salary actions for front and back of the house employees using annual salary or hourly reviews.
  11. Oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of Service Managers.
  12. Collaborate with the Marketing team to execute and implement programs and activities.
  13. Provide event sales support by reviewing contracts and assisting the Events Manager in planning and executing sales strategies.
  14. Participate in the introduction of new drinks, beverages, liquors, and wines at a national level and administer local beverage programs.
  15. Work closely with all management staff.
  16. Attend Weekly Marketing calls, Weekly Managers' meetings, and Weekly financial reports meetings.
  17. Conduct monthly walk-throughs, on-site inspections, and audits for all FOH & BOH operations.
  18. Develop action plans to improve areas of opportunity.
  19. Collaborate with FOH & BOH Managers to execute menu changes, specials, and price changes.
  20. Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents for FOH & BOH.
  21. Serve as a spokesperson for RSH and all F&B Operations within the community.
Required Qualifications:
  • Seven to ten years of upscale restaurant experience required.
  • Two or more years of multi-unit management experience with full P&L responsibility.
  • Experience with a computerized POS system and Reservation system.
  • Ability to recruit, develop, motivate, train, and coach employees.
  • Ability to perform all hourly and salary employees' job functions within the restaurant or bar.
  • Ability to handle the stress of interacting with employees and guests, handling guest complaints, and dealing with time constraints.
  • General knowledge of math/accounting principles.
  • Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive and determined attitude.
