The Family Resource Specialist must work with parents and families to provide linkages to community based programs in the Bronx. A knowledge of DOE protocols and processes such as fair hearings, the Committee on Special Education and Citywide Standards of Intervention and Disciplinary Measures is required. The Family Resource Specialist must have experience working with families/children in a programmatic setting and demonstrate case management skills. They will need to develop agenda and facilitate meetings with families and various stakeholders within the school & program. This position is temporary and will last 6 months.
