National Coatings and Supplies Inc. is Hiring an Accounts Payable Assistant Manager Near Raleigh, NC
- Process accounts payable transactions while maintaining appropriate transaction/account notes
- Excellent understanding of the accounts payable function within Great Plains
- Ensure the accurate and timely input of all invoices
- Understanding of the accounts payable general ledger related accounts and how they relate to invoices
- Ensures that all vendor information is accurate
- Resolve store & vendor inquires or non-payments timely
- Participates in the formulation of accounts payable strategies
- Ensures department is running effectively and works with management on department efficiency plan.
- Ensures department is following Company document retention plan and that all old documents are properly disposed of
- Frequently make significant decisions and may contribute to the formulation of policies and standard operating procedures within the AP department.
- Maintaining a good relationship with store/branch management and divisional management
- Continually monitors direct reports to ensure all task are being completed within deadlines and accurately
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Give training to other accounts payable department employees
- Cross train on the duties of the other AP processors
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma/ GED
- 4-year degree in related field preferred
- 5 years of previous accounts payable experience
- Previous experience in a management role a plus
- Good judgement, motivation, and communication skills
- Must be analytical and adhere to a high degree of accuracy
- Strong computer skills and proficient in use of Windows based computer software and the advanced use of spreadsheets
- Excellent organizational, planning and leadership skills
- Ability to develop creative ideas for process improvement using existing financial systems
- Ability to prioritize work and multi-task
- Ability to solve difficult and complex problems
- May be required to work weekends and overtime to ensure established deadlines are met.
- Expected hours per week are 40-45
