Starting Salary Range: $63,795 - $86,797
Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and performing inspections and quality control testing, providing recommendations and preparing administrative items to ensure maintenance activities are planned and executed appropriately. Other responsibilities include ensuring compliance with contract plans and specifications, standards, permit/code requirements, and other state and federal regulatory requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Manages & inspects specified major maintenance service projects, contracts, work orders and preventive maintenance (PMs) for compliance with contract plans and specifications which can include custodial services, baggage handling system, landscaping, janitorial supplies, elevator, escalator and the compressed natural gas station operations and maintenance. Measures contract performance by using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Coordinates with contractors, overseeing their quality control testing, operation, maintenance activities, inspecting and evaluating their work against performance standards, permit/code requirements and other state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Observes and reviews all aspects and tasks of the contract for documentation and maintains records per contract.
  • Ensures vendor/contractor oversight, quality control and contract evaluation meet the project and/or scope requirements.
  • Develops and analyzes computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) reports and operational data to make improvements to system performance, reliability, and operating cost.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with key stakeholders including, governmental regulatory personnel, contractors, professional consultants, and other MNAA staff.
  • Performs physical inspection of variety of discipline activities which may include but not limited to: buildings, electrical, HVAC and insulation, baggage belts, vehicles and heavy equipment.
  • Creates and maintains monthly compliance reports and documents such as quality files, directives, general correspondences including, budgets, fuel reports, maintenance statistics, baggage handling systems, passenger boarding bridges, contractor payments, contractor-related inventory, etc.
  • Ensures proper maintenance methods are used.
  • Prepares and maintains maintenance quality assurance (QA) inspection records in a time conscious and time-effective manner.
  • Assists with planning work and assuring that the work is completed.
  • Maintains frequent and open lines of communication with key stakeholders, including airlines, tenants, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and other MNAA staff, as they apply to quality.
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external business partners including highway construction, inspections, etc.
  • Provides recommendations and suggestions on maintenance related issues.
  • Observes, documents and reports all items of work performed for maintenance.
  • Applies and coordinates knowledge of applicable local, state and federal codes, statues and guidelines to the quality assurance program.
  • Assists teams with purchase requisition approval, equipment, supply sourcing, and the budgeting process.
  • Assists with snow equipment preparation, involved in the coordination and successful execution of needed services during winter events (snow, sleet, ice).
  • Attends meetings to maintain airport operation awareness, represents Maintenance Management, as required.
  • Preforms tasks and monitors contract(s) as a backup to other coordinator(s), as necessary.
  • Maintains regular and on-time attendance.
  • Follows all safety regulations.
  • Supports MNAA's commitment to its culture and values, including Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence (RISE).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and other Characteristics:
  • Maintenance Practices: Knowledge of maintenance practices, specifications and plans, processes and procedures.
  • OSHA Regulations: Knowledge of state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  • FAA Regulations: Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and requirements.
  • Contract Regulations: Skill in understanding and enforcing contractual agreements, rules, and regulations.
  • Data Entry and Retrieval: Skill in quickly and accurately entering data into and retrieving data from computer applications.
  • Data Processing: Skill in interpreting, defining, analyzing, and presenting data from various sources.
  • Driving: Must possess a valid Tennessee Driver's License; must maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance.
  • Managing Workload: Skill in organizing and prioritizing work, handling multiple responsibilities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Microsoft Windows: Skill in using the Microsoft Windows operating system.
  • Relationship Building: Skill in establishing and maintaining effective and professional working relationships with others.
  • Reporting: Skill in preparing and producing timely and accurate oral and written reports.
  • Written Comprehension: Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Written Expression: Ability to use words and sentences in writing so others will understand.
  • Dependability: Acts reliably and responsibly with others. Reports to work as scheduled.
  • Independence: Develops one's own ways of doing things, guides oneself with little or no supervision, makes independent decisions, and depends on oneself to get things done.
  • Learning: Displays a willingness to quickly acquire knowledge relevant to the job.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display (SIDA) badge.
Qualifications
Required:
  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Intermediate or expert computer and software skills to include use of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows.
  • Valid Driver License
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Four (4) plus years of Quality Assurance / Quality Control / Auditing experience.
  • 2-4 years in Contract Management for maintenance service contracts.
  • Certified Member of American Association of Airport Executives
