Canton OH Fabricator is Hiring a Quality Control Coordinator Near Canton, OH

Quality Control Coordinator

Gaspar, Inc. is an established manufacturer in Canton, OH with a successful track record of over 56 years in business as a global fabricator of processing equipment for semiconductor, chemical, plastics, steel mills, and polymer industries. We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced individual to join our quality team.

· Job Responsibilities

o Work under Quality Control manager and help coordinate and execute requirements for existing and new projects.

o Review Mill Test Reports and material specifications to ASME code for materials received.

o Coordinate Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) from both internal and external resources.

o Review and approve billing from outside vendors for Quality Assurance needs (calibrations, NDE, etc.)

o Assemble and distribute final data packages for projects.

o Inspect paint application on projects and complete subsequent reports.

o Review drawings released from the Engineering department and create travelers, weld maps, and Inspection Test Plans (ITP).

o Calibration and documentation of inspection equipment related to QC department.

o Evaluation of repair projects by performing thickness checks and visual inspections. Document recommended repair plan with input from production, estimating, and management.

o Communicate with customers as needed for documentation submittals.

o Review customer specifications as related to QC requirements.

o Perform final inspection reports to release projects for shipment.

o Review and help develop shop procedures.

o Work with Quality Control department to review and develop methods of continuous improvement.

o Comprehend and implement Gaspar Inc. Quality Control Manual.

o Assist Management with periodic audits required by ASME and the NBIC.

o Training will be available to qualified candidates for this position.

o Maintain good record keeping of the above responsibilities and other QC duties.

· Experience / Qualifications

o Experience with quality control or similar duties.

o Proficient documentation skills and ability to maintain accurate records.

o Should be computer literate, as much of this position is computer-based.

o Existing knowledge, or willingness to learn ASME code compliance.

· General job requirements/skills

o Communication skills and a positive, team-oriented mindset.

o Willingness to solve problems and make suggestions for continuous improvement.

o Ability to interact with all individuals at all organizational levels.

o Understand business considerations/priorities to ensure that quality product is maintained and deadlines for jobs are achieved.

o Maintain attention to detail with regard to specification review and written communications.

o Organization and time-management

o Ability to adapt to changes in job priorities and willingness to take on other job duties associated with this department or other duties Gaspar may require.
