We are currently looking for a Quality Control Specialist/Inspector for full time work in Canton.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Read instructions and prints to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies
· Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplies performance
· Select output sample and check them using the appropriate methods measuring dimensions, testing functionally, and comparing to specifications
· Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final to specifications
· Maintain records of inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records
· Inspect procedure of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with Quality & safety standards
· Monitor the use of gages and testing equipment to ensure it is safe and well maintained. Contact Supervisor if found to not meet requirements.
· Prepare, scan & electronically file QC reports.
· Recommend improvements to the production / Quality processes.
· When requested, teach the production team about quality control concepts to improve product quality.
· Resolve quality related issues in a timely manner.
· Initiate and process Non-Conforming Material Reports. Identify (tag) discrepant / suspect material until dispositioned.
Required Skills & Abilities
· Proven experience as a quality inspector or relevant role
· Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems
· Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
· Working knowledge of Word, Excel. Ability to locate, open, modify & save electronic files.
