Elmington is Hiring a Quality Control Specialist Near Nashville, TN

POSITION SUMMARY
Elmington is seeking for an Quality Control Specialist that will report to the Director of Elmington Affordable Lease Ups. You are responsible for coordinating development and quality directives by performing as a representative for the Director, assuring the established quality standards are met throughout the development and lease up of a property. Your goal is to ensure all components of the Lease Up have the highest standard of quality through unit walks, report/website/file audits, and site inspections. You will be challenged to find effective and creative solutions to assure our new properties look and operate spectacularly and the newly delivered units are ready for residents to move in.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILIES:
  • Accompany the Construction Manager on unit walks to determine if the buildings are ready to be accepted
  • Act as a liaison between the Community Director, Lease Up Director, and Construction Manager to ensure all warranty items and quality deficiency items are addressed in a timely manner
  • Be willing to travel (and some overnight stays) to all of EA's lease up properties including but not limited to: Memphis, Knoxville, Nashville, Charlotte, Millington, and Austin
  • Oversee all property details ensuring Elmington's and the Director's quality standards are met
  • Maintain contact with the Construction Manager on delivery date changes for 2-5 properties simultaneously
  • Responsible for executing weekly lease up report audits
  • Responsible for periodic file audits throughout the lease up and as the property reaches stabilization
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF YOUR ROLE INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Effective communication, both written and oral
  • Coordinate unit walks with construction
  • Accurately report all quality-deficiencies
  • Execute various audits to support a successful lease up
  • Physically inspect the units/property in its entirety
  • Effective follow up on all assignments until complete
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience in administrative, sales, or management roles dependent upon the department of position
  • Project Management experience and/or certification preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Frequently sit, stand and walk
  • Regularly required to talk or hear
  • Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud depending on activity level in the work space during lease up
  • Temperature in the workplace is typically moderate, though the ability to withstand seasonal cold and heat of the outdoors is necessary
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Up to 75% of the time, or as needed
