QC/Receiving Assistant Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Uncommon James is a fast-growing brand including, but not limited to, jewelry, skincare, and candles. We are looking for someone to join our team who is interested in learning and growing with the company. As a quality control and receiving associate, your role is vital in the inspection, processing, and documentation of all incoming products. You will follow the Uncommon James standards to ensure the highest standard of quality products. This associate will also be responsible for accurately entering shipments into our inventory system. It is crucial to be detail oriented and have strong data entry skills to be successful in this position.

Responsibilities 

• Receiving, processing, inspecting, and storing product; including but not limited to jewelry, candles, beauty, and home accessories
• Report quality issues and maintain accurate documentation
• Implement warehouse functions, including: Purchase Order receiving, Transfer Order fulfilment, Sales Order fulfilment, Inventory reconciliation
• Utilize inventory management system to receive POs, check and verify quantities of a product
• Become proficient with company’s ERP software (NetSuite and Infor) to perform daily system transactions associated with the receiving process
• Flexible to help where needed: QC, receiving, inventory, shipping, etc.
• Provide overall support to the Receiving Quality Control Lead within the fulfilment center
• Opening boxes and lifting up to 50lbs
• Organizing product based on orders and priority shipments
• Able to meet deadlines effectively and efficiently

Candidate requirements

• Strong computer skills including email, Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), and other systems
• Standing, Bending, and Lifting requirements up to 50lbs occasionally
• Warehousing/inventory control experience preferred but not required
• Ability to provide information and coordinate with Receiving Quality Control Lead and Director of Fulfilment to carry out daily responsibilities
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Looking for a detail oriented person who wants to grow with the company
• A proactive person who will help improve QC/inventory processes

• Temp position which can turn into a permanent, full time role
• 7:30am-4:30pm Monday- Friday 
• Nashville, TN 37211
• Holiday hours may vary
• Spanish speaking (bilingual) a plus, but not necessary
