Job Summary:
Preforms and maintains the City's golf carts clean, neat, and in working condition. Works under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Job Functions:

a. Driving Range Maintenance involves; cleaning, maintain and store golf carts, golf balls and cart storage barn including surrounding areas outside the pavilion
b. Prepare golf carts for customers.
c. Performs related work and reports as assigned.
Conditions of Employment:

b. Applicant must take and pass a pre-employment drug test administered by the City of Edinburg at the City's expense.
c. Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record.
d. Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred.
Required Education:
High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalency

Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience Preference:
One (1) year experience in light equipment work & grounds keeping

a. Requires a working knowledge of golf cart equipment.

f. Knowledge of golf course maintenance, rules and etiquette.
g. Effective Customer Service skills.
Equipment Materials:
General office and safety equipment/materials to include but not limited to the following:
•Gloves/Cleaning supplies
•Diesel tractor
•Power tools
•Electric golf carts
Work Conditions:
Occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards. Frequent outside work.

While performing the duties of this class, the incumbent is regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents; use math and mathematical reasoning; perform detailed work, multiple deadlines and concurrent tasks; work with constant interruptions; and interact with staff and the public.
