Corcoran Trucking & Logistics is Hiring a Vice President of Sales Near Tampa, FL

Vice President of Sales

Corcoran Trucking & Logistics, a dynamic leader in the logistics and supply chain industry, is seeking a highly successful and skilled Vice President of Sales for their Tampa Bay, FL office. Ideal candidates will have a proven book of relationships, along with the ability to lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. The VP of Sales will work closely with the leadership team to grow and enhance the business.

Responsibilities

Work closely with leadership to implement business sales strategy and manage both the annual and monthly sales objectives for the department.

Achieve the strategic goals of the sales department.

Identify, qualify, and develop quality leads and capture new business utilizing strategic pricing and service initiatives in a 3PL logistics model.

Lead freight sales and sustain business performance by adding and retaining new customers to achieve established revenue goals.

Generate sales leads by networking, cold-calling, building, and leveraging industry-related and professional relationships, and timely follow through on referrals.

Create and execute business development sales plans, with efforts focused on developing and securing profitable business from customers (current and prospects) who are aligned to the company's targeted criteria.

Leadership of the existing sales team, as well as recruit, develop, and mentor top talent to strengthen and expand the current team.

Attend sales/customer/vendor management meetings.

Strong skills in sourcing new opportunities, closing deals, customer relationships, negotiation, organization, and exceptional communication skills.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated sales and leadership success within the transportation and logistics industries. Ideally focused on the freight brokerage segment.
  • Proven record of growing business and starting new accounts.
  • Be highly organized, analytical and schedule focused, working from a remote/home office.
  • Passion for building relationships.
  • Ability to hold self and team accountable.
